What is it?
benefitsCONNECT® is an online benefits enrollment and administration system with fully automated EDI connectivity among employer groups, insurance carriers, TPAs, payroll vendors and brokers. Accessible 24/7 year round, benefitsCONNECT® eliminates paper and increases efficiency, allowing employer groups to simplify their entire benefits administration process.

How does it work?
Using a web browser, the administrator sets up the employer group’s benefit plans and options in benefitsCONNECT®. The administrator could be a TPA, broker, HR manager, or an implementation specialist from benefitsCONNECT®. Once the plans are set up, the EDI department will program and schedule automatic data exports to the employer group’s insurance carriers and payroll company. Via the employee portal, employees can enter personal information, enroll, make benefits elections, and make qualifying event changes electronically. These changes will be communicated automatically to any carriers receiving EDI feeds. A wide range of reports are available to the employer organization and to the broker or TPA.
